At
early age, friendship starts from and among members of the family at home. As we step out and begin to mingle with other peers
in pre-school, friendship expands to the extent of trial and error – good classmates are treated best friends and bad
classmates are treated classmates but nevertheless, best friends or not, with all the subjects and activities we were all
together, we feel that we are treated by our teachers in equal way thus, we feel we are all important to each others.
In
stepping-up primary level, we normally meet new classmates and therefore, best friends. We also tend to loss the old ones
as they stop or transferred to another school but they were always a best friends.
As
we finally reached the highest level of elementary and prepare ourselves for the graduation, we realized best friends, close
friends and just friends were important part of our lives. We know exactly that by the next enrollment which is first year
high school, some new ones will arrive and some old ones will depart. In this way, it is normal to have mixed feelings –
feelings of joy as we are graduating, feelings of excitement as we have to be in high school and feelings of sad for we are
leaving the most active stage of our childhood, the Elementary Era.
Being
emotional in this regard could not be avoided but keeping the memory of our Elementary Days will preserve the value of friendships
we shared with our classmates, schoolmates, teachers and other people for education is a challenge which determines our future.
We
value friendship as we valued education. We treasure new friends and teachers as we treasured old friends and teachers. We
give importance to the forthcoming High School Stages as we gave importance to our Elementary Days!
